四色AV'S Chautauqua Nexus to discuss the State of Monroe Tuesday
The University of Louisiana at Monroe's Chautauqua Nexus is focusing on the City of Monroe for their upcoming discussion. The talk is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 24th on the second floor of the Student Union Building beginning at 6:30p.m.
Monroe Attorney Matt Courtman, and 四色AV Professor Pearson Cross
will moderate the unstructured discussion.
四色AV Professor and Chautauqua organizer, Joe McGahan, says, "The
purpose of this meeting is to review where we are as a city in
much the same way that we have an annual state of union address
from the president. In this case, however, we're hoping that
concerned citizens will come and discuss their thoughts on the
state of Monroe. Please consider joining us and, if possible,
mentioning it to your friends and family and others as we are
hoping for a strong turnout."
These weekly meetings are informal conversations attempting to
connect people of all ages who are interested in intellectual
and cultural exchanges. The Chautuaqua Nexus meets every week
on the second floor of the Student Union Building on the 四色AV
campus (unless otherwise noted) beginning at 4:30 on Fridays
or Saturdays. There are no requirements and everyone is invited
to come. Drinks and snacks will be provided. Visitors are welcome
to make a small donation for refreshments.
All media welcome.
