Students Receive 四色AV College of Business Awards

At a separate event the College of Business Administration at the University of Louisiana at Monroe held its 34th Annual Honors Banquet to honor outstanding students in the College of Business Administration in the Conference Center of the 四色AV Library.

Students receiving awards were: Brandyn C. LeBoeuf, College of Business Administration Distinguished Graduate Award and Outstanding Graduate in Accounting; Miranda L. Hasley, College of Business Administration Dean's Award, Outstanding Graduate in Insurance and the Bill Sanders Outstanding Insurance Student Award; Sherri A.
Morgan-Taylor, Outstanding Graduate in Computer Information Systems, The Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award and the Beta Gamma Sigma Outstanding Senior Award.

Master of Business Administration Outstanding Graduate Student Award receipients were Stephen H. Lee for Summer 2001, Travis Roberts for Fall 2001 and Rebecca W. Boquet for Spring 2002.

Departmental award winners were David M. Yellott, Harry M. Bell Memorial Scholarship Award; Debbie M. Davis, Institute of Management Accountants Shreveport Chapter-Outstanding Accounting Senior Award; Chad E. Manning, Association of Information Technology Professionals Outstanding Student Award; Hadda El Atmani, Outstanding Graduate in Economics; Jodie L. Smith Sellers, Outstanding Graduate in Finance; Alec B. Faulk, Outstanding Graduate in General Business; Elizabeth Cabello, Bill Sanders Outstanding Insurance Student Award; Lance R. Moulin, Outstanding Graduate in Management; Kenda C. Kelly, Outstanding Graduate in Marketing; Amy M. Winston, Pi Sigma Epsilon Outstanding Student Award for Fall 2001; Doll Ann Adams, Pi Sigma Epsilon Outstanding Student Award for Spring 2002 and Institute for Supply Management Lou-Ark Purchasing Managers Association Chapter Scholarship; Shanda M. Boyles, Institute for Supply Management Lou-Ark Purchasing Managers Association Chapter Scholarship; and William Bradley Johnston, Institute of Internal Auditors Outstanding Student Award.

Beta Gamma Sigma, national honorary fraternity for collegiate business students, selected its outstanding students. The Kitty DeGree/Beta Gamma Sigma Outstanding Junior Scholarship went to Delta L. Rushing; Beta Gamma Sigma Outstanding MBA Graduate went to Rebecca W. Boquet; and National Beta Gamma Sigma Scholarship Award went to Mignon Begnaud. Named as chapter honorees were Joe Farr, Thomas & Farr Agency, Inc., Monroe and David L. Johnston, Johnston & Company, CPAs, Monroe. College of Business faculty members inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma were Ronald L. Berry,
Computer Information Systems department head, and Jacqueline W. O'Neal, MBA Program director.
