Panhellenic Awards Student Scholars at Annual Reception

The Panhellenic Association at the University of Louisiana at Monroe recently held their annual Scholarship Reception. This year's theme was "Setting the Standard." Chapters and individuals were recognized with awards.

Chapter Recognition Awards were given to those chapters who have attained a 3.0 grade point average or above for the Fall 2001 and Spring 2002 semesters. Chapters and their grade points follow: Alpha Omicron Pi, 3.025, Fall 2001; Alpha Omicron Pi, 3.069, Spring 2002.

The Academic Award of Excellence goes to the chapter with the highest cumulative GPA for the fall and spring semesters. Winning this award was Alpha Omicron Pi with a 3.025 for Fall 2001 and a 3.069 for Spring 2002.

The Highest Panhellenic GPA Award honors an individual active member of the Panhellenic System that has 30 or more hours and has attained the highest cumulative GPA of the entire system. The Panhellenic Association was proud to recognize Ms. Daphne Primeaux, a member of the Alpha Rho Chapter of Phi Mu for her success of a 3.921 GPA. Daphne is a Pharmacy major with 111 hours.

Individuals were also awarded certificates for enrolling in at least 12 hours and earning a 3.0 GPA or higher for the Fall 2001 and/or Spring 2002 semesters. The following were recognized:

Alpha Omicron Pi: Amanda Clampit, Courtney Creekmore, Meagan Crump, Christina Doucet, Yvie Edwards, Ashley Fisher, Leslie Gibbs, Lynn Gibbs, Kayla Haltom, Allison Hartwell, Jennifer Henry, Kellie Hutchinson, Penny Lawrence, Amber Lewis, Anya Morris, Halie Parker, Holly Post, Mindy Sanders, Ashleigh Saucier, Jennifer Stephenson, Brandi Trahan, Jill Warren, and Sarah Young.

Kappa Delta: Julia Barnhill, Julie Beck, Christie Bowman, Amanda Cedars, Brittany Cooper, Emily DeRousse, Brandi DeYoung, Jenny Dollins, Ashley Dougherty, Lindsey Franklin, Tara Gilley, Stacy Hayward, Carla Kelton, Katie Leon, Jenni Roberson, Stephanie Shields, Katie Skates, Christina Strider, and Morgan Trahant.

Phi Mu: Allison Bryant, Sharee Davis, Tiffany Doss, Laura Doucet, Sandy Dukes, Trichel Faulkinberry, Corey Fortenberry, Kristal Gentry, Paige Guidry, Jamie Hilburn, Amber Hughes, Kelly Kyle, Leslie Lawrence, Karessa Lewis, Paige McAlpine, Jennifer Nelken, Jamie Norris, Amy Pearson, Daphne Primeaux, Emery Prince, Kim Taylor, Erin Townsend, and Jaclyn Verret.

Sigma Kappa: Ashley Blanchard, Alicia Boles, Valerie Brinkley, Sandra Brown, Kayla Eppinette, and Sara Hill.

Members were also inducted into Rho Lambda, Panhellenic's Recognition Society for junior and senior sorority women who through their service, leadership, and academic accomplishments, have made outstanding contributions to the 四色AV Panhellenic Association. The following 12 ladies were inducted: Alicia Boles, Ashley Fisher, Kayla Haltom, Jennifer Henry, Jamie Hilburn, Kellie Hutchinson, Kelly Kyle, Katie Leon, Daphne Primeaux, Mindy Sanders, Jaclyn Verret, and Jill Warren.
