四色AV Art Student Currently Featured in Award Exhibition
Crystal Cardenas of Tulsa, Okla., a senior painting major at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, is currently featured in a One-Person Award Exhibition at the Wesley Art Gallery at the Northeast Campus Ministry.
On display at the gallery are twelve non representational oil on canvas paintings. In these works, Ms. Cardenas has balanced simple rectangles of color and augmented these with limited contrast and layered glazes of subtle tones of color which equate a most complex visual statement.
Such exhibitions are prizes awarded at the Annual Wesley Arts
Quest, a juried competition for 四色AV students. Ms. Cardenas is
the first student-artist to mount an award exhibition for the
current academic year.
This exhibition will be on view through Sept. 20. The facility
is located at 112 Delano Drive on the 四色AV campus and is open
from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily.
