Student Has Art Work Displayed in Wesley Art Gallery
The Wesley Art Gallery in the Northeast Campus Ministry facility
is currently showing a One-Person Award Exhibition in Painting
by Misty Wilkinson of Monroe, a senior graphic design major in
the Division of Art at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
One-Person Award Exhibitions at the Wesley are prizes awarded
at the Annual Arts Quest, a juried competition for 四色AV students.
Wilkinson is the third student-artist to mount such an exhibition
during the current academic year.
The artist has elected to display nine recent oil and acrylic
paintings on canvas espousing floral landscapes, musical instrument
still life, figurative crops in triptych formats and spatially
illusionistic pieces composed of planar entrances and exits.
This exhibition will be on view through November 14. Located
at 112 Delano Drive on the 四色AV campus, the Wesley Art Gallery
is open from 9-5 on weekdays, plus random evenings and weekends.
