四色AV Fall 2004 Enrollment Increases
The University of Louisiana at Monroe's enrollment for the
fall 2004 semester is 8,836. This is up from last year's 8,580
students. This 3% percent increase marks the second year in a
row that 四色AV has had an increase in enrollment.
"The increase in enrollment represents continued progress
for 四色AV," President James Cofer said. "We are encouraged
not only by the quantity of the increase but also by the quality
of our freshmen class."
First-time full-time freshmen totaled 1,487, up 16% over last
fall. However, the TOPS eligible freshmen are up 30% and the
freshmen average ACT is 20.83 up from an average last year of
20.28. This represents the highest average ACT for a beginning
freshmen class in the history of the institution.
四色AV recently made major campus improvements in dining services,
the bookstore, and online enrollment services. For the second
year in a row 四色AV had the largest increase in student satisfaction
of any institution in the state. These factors along with the
buzz about the university's $67 Million new housing project help
generate excitement about 四色AV.
Lisa Miller, 四色AV Director of Recruitment and Admissions said,
"Students pick 四色AV because we live our motto of 'Students
First.' Students at 四色AV get that extra special touch that they
do not see at other schools."
