四色AV's Chautauqua Nexus and Origins Series Offer Eclectic Mix

To explain and explore the "Nexus," 四色AV Psychology Professor and Chautauqua Nexus Organizer, Dr. Joe McGahan, will lead the talk titled, "What is a Nexus?" today, January 21 at 5:15 p.m. in the media room on the 6th floor of the 四色AV Library.

An Origins' Follow-up discussion is set for this Saturday, January 22 at 10 a.m. with Sean Chenowith at the Ouachita Parish Public Library.

The Origins Series is an open forum scheduled throughout the spring semester at 四色AV. The Louisiana Endowment and area supporters sponsor the Origins Series. Organizers hope to draw attention to the historical significance of "where we live" as a major geographical and cultural advantage for our university and greater community.

The Spring Chautauqua Nexus and Origins Series include various speakers and topics, such as "Dress and Self Loathing in the Teenage Years", "Historic Native American Tribes" and "The United Nations and Politics of Latin America."

The next scheduled talk is titled, "Holistic Approaches to Physical, Mental and Spiritual Well-Being." It is set for Wednesday, January 26 at 7:15 p.m. with Carroll Baker and will take place on the 6th floor of the 四色AV Library.

All presentations are free and open to the public. The complete schedule, including time and place of event for both series of talks, can be found online at http://www.ulm.edu/calendar/.
