四色AV to Host Health Sciences Event
The University of Louisiana at Monroe
is hosting a Health Sciences day for Non-Traditional students.
The program is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 9, from 6 p.m. to
8 p.m. on the seventh floor of the 四色AV Library. The program is
designed for students age 21 and older who are not currently
enrolled in another college or university and who are interested
in pursuing a degree in Health Sciences or Pharmacy at 四色AV.
Informative sessions about 四色AV's Health Sciences programs and
admissions process for non-traditional students will be offered.
Participants will also have the opportunity to meet with faculty
about curriculum requirements and what types of jobs are available
with their degrees.
Lisa Miller, Director of Recruitment/Admissions at 四色AV said that
due to the increased demand for certified health care professionals,
the program was created to provide health science degree program
information, admissions information, as well as financial aid
information.
"Whether a person is completing a program started years
ago, or just beginning a program, this event will provide the
participants with the knowledge they need to begin their degree
program as early as this Fall," Miller said.
Health Sciences Day will offer informative sessions about biology,
clinical laboratory science, communicative disorders, dental
hygiene, kinesiology, nursing, occupational therapy, and the
College of Pharmacy and Toxicology.
