Doggone It! Tricks Are for Kids and Their Dogs!

Teach your dog the basics of obedience--to sit, to stay, to heel on a leash and to recall. After this class, you and your "best friend" will impress your family and neighbors with some doggone good tricks.

The Business of Babysitting

All aspects of the babysitting business, from the characteristics of great babysitters to children's behavior will be explained in this class.

Participants will learn how to begin a babysitting business and to create a business flyer.

Campus Kids 2006 "Endangered Planet"

Provides young children with informal experiences that will develop learning, enhance skills in math and science, and stimulate mental and creative growth in art, music, and social development. Programs include storytelling, music, art, and science.

Express Yourself

Discover ways to "express yourself" through various art media that includes two-dimensional and three-dimensional art painting, sculpturing and drawing.

Students will make an African mask, a fish sculpture, and a picture or collage.

Analyze This!

Imagine watching a football game where no one is keeping score. Imagine going to the grocery store and trying to find the best buy on a box of doggie treats for your dog. Statistics are all around us. In fact it would be difficult to go through a full week without statistics. Students will investigate data sets, from gummy bears to bicycles, and analyze their characteristics.

Cartoon Crazy

Perhaps you can become the next great cartoonist! Learn how to draw your favorite cartoon characters, plus how to create your own original cartoons and comic strips. Supplies provided.

Duck Hunting--Get Your Limit

In this "neck of the woods" you need to possess the skills of a duck hunter.

Learn how to identify waterfowl, gain knowledge about flyways and become familiar with readying and hunting in a blind. Learn how to successfully call ducks along the banks of our bayou and see how many you can land.

"Business Technology Summer Camp for High School Students"

This Technology Camp is designed for high school students who are interested in computers or in exploring information systems careers. Students will participate in hands-on experiences, including designing web pages, writing and executing Visual Basic programs, building local area networks, and playing online games to improve their critical thinking skills.

Geo-Tech--Technology Meets Hands-on

Students will discover geometric principles using hands-on activities and graphing calculator applications. TI-83/84 calculators will be utilized.

Ever wonder how often something might happen? What is the probability that another student in your school has the same birthday as you? What many people refer to as "good luck" can actually be explained with a little knowledge about probability and statistics. Using manipulatives and technology discover the answers to these questions and many more.

Talented and Gifted Day Camp "The Human Body"

Programs are designed to enhance cognitive, affective, and psychomotor abilities of gifted/talented and high academic achievers with emphasis on individual as well as group participation. Activities will include instructional activities, materials, field trips, music and art.

Reel Fun

Learn the basics of fishing for crappie, bass and white perch from how to select and use the appropriate bait and tackle, to how to determine what areas in a waterway are favorable for each. Learn how to cast like the pros and take part in a fishing rodeo right in 四色AV's bayou.

Camp Enterprise

Camp Enterprise is designed for bright students with leadership potential who will be seniors in the fall of 2006. Campers will consider entrepreneurship as a career option. Topics to be covered will be How the Free Enterprise System Works, Why the Free Enterprise System Leads to a Higher Standard of Living, The Role of Government in a Free Society, How Democracy Works, the Process of American Business and How It Works, and How Managers Operate in the Business System.

Kool Kids in the Kitchen

Four-week introductory level class for children to learn the basics of cooking--one day on breakfast, one day on desserts, one day on a family meal to help out mom, and one day on pizza.

"Etiquette for Kids"

Planned activities will teach manners in varied social settings. Snack time will reinforce table manners and hosting skills. An evening session for parents will help them understand their roles in reinforcing their children's proper behavior.

Summer Dance Workshop

Sponsored by the School of Visual and Performing Arts-Division of Theatre and Dance and the Twin City Ballet. This is an intensive workshop in the areas of ballet, jazz, modern, tap and theatrical dance. Students must register for the workshop through Twin City Ballet or their private dance instructor. Classes will be taught by guest dance artists or teachers.

Summer Swim Team

The summer program will be held at the 四色AV Natatorium from June 5-July 14, Monday through Friday, from 8-9:30 a.m. League will focus on having fun while learning and improving the four basic competitive strokes. Child must be able to swim 25 yards with rhythmic breathing.

Dive Into Guard Start (Junior Life Guard)

If you are interested in becoming a lifeguard or if you want to learn about water safety, CPR and first aid, this is the course for you. Learn basic life guarding skills and you can become certified in First Aid. Must be able to swim with your face in the water.

MUSIC CAMPS

Prep Academy of Music Program -"At Home in the World"

Content: Musikgarten's "At Home in the World" curriculum (songs, ear training, coordination of body and voice, fundamental musical skills, dramatization of folk tales, exposure to instruments), music appreciation, crafts and play. Previous musical training not required.

Ages: 3-4, 4-5, 5-6, 7-8

Maximum of 8 participants per age group

Prep Academy of Music Program -"Intro to Drumming"

Learn how to play with drumsticks, improvise and play in a group. Also includes a Music Appreciation component. Previous musical training is not necessary.

Camps I and II are for campers who want to learn the basic skills of baseball.


--Specialty Camp-June 12-15

Specialty camp is broken up into two two-day sessions of specialized instruction. The first session focuses on hitting, while the second session focuses on defense and pitching.


--All-Star Camp-June 19-22

All-star camp provides instruction for the advanced player in all areas--hitting, fielding, and pitching.


--Prospect Camp-July 28-29

Camps are held at Indian Field from 9 a.m. to noon

Basketball Camps

Orlando Early Basketball Camp

Campers will participate in two games daily against competitors of similar ages, abilities and sizes. Campers will also learn offensive and defensive techniques, reinforcing the fundamentals of basketball.

Football Summer Camps

Senior Camp

Senior Day Camps are designed to help 2007 high school graduates who are planning to play college football. Instruction will include drills and specific position work. NCAA eligibility and the recruiting process will also be discussed.

7 on 7 Passing Camp and Linemen Camp

Open to individuals and teams. Teams will compete in a round robin format, and then teams will be ranked and play in a single elimination tournament.

Linemen are also invited to come and receive individual instruction from the 四色AV offensive and defensive line coaches. Lunch and t-shirt will be provided.
