Dance Clinic Adds More Kick to February

Excitement and opportunities continue for local junior dancers at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. The ËÄÉ«AV Warbonnets Dance Clinic will continue the university’s tradition of nurturing dance talent on Sat., Feb. 11. The experience begins at 1 p.m. and concludes with attendance at the Lady Indians basketball game at 7 p.m.

Dancers currently in kindergarten through the 6th grade are invited to participate. The clinic occurs at ËÄÉ«AV Brown Gym and Fant-Ewing Coliseum. The cost is $50, which includes dance workshops, a snack, supper, t-shirt, and ticket to the Lady Indians game.

Schedule of events:

1:00-1:30 – Sign-in at Brown Gym (Participants should wear comfortable dress and dance or tennis shoes.)

1:30 – 3:00 – Dance workshop

3:00 – 3:15 – Snack break

3:15 - 4:45 – Dance workshop

4:45 – 6:00 – Eat and dress for game (Participants should please bring black dance pants and dance or tennis shoes for performance.)

6:00 – 6:30 – March to the ËÄÉ«AV Coliseum

6:30 – Arrive at ËÄÉ«AV Coliseum and enjoy the ËÄÉ«AV Lady Indians as they compete against Northwestern State.

(Participants will sit in a special section for the first half of the game and perform at halftime. After halftime, participants will be released to their parent/guardian.)
