四色AV College of Pharmacy recognizes seniors
The 四色AV College of Pharmacy held a Senior Recognition Ceremony for 73 Pharm. D. graduates the evening of May 19. All graduates completed the professional program in pharmacy and received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Other first, second and third-year pharmacy students were also honored.
Nancy Pierron, 四色AV College of Pharmacy instructor and past president of the Louisiana Pharmacy Association, presented 鈥淗istory of a Pharmacist.鈥
The College of Pharmacy awards include:
- The College of Pharmacy Faculty Scholastic Recognition Award: Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, Alpha Epsilon (accepting on KE鈥檚 behalf, Amie Sonnier, president 2004-2005)
- The College of Pharmacy Departmental Research Achievement Awards: Swapnali Sawant, basic pharmaceutical sciences; Digisha Trivedi, clinical and administrative sciences; Ankur Dnyanmote, toxicology
- The College of Pharmacy First Professional Year Scholastic Achievement Award: Morgan Jones, Nicole Ehrlicher, Julie Fournerat, Sarah Neal, Beejal Shah, Kaylin Taylor, Jennifer Teat, Jonathan Whitlock
Additional honors include:
- Lilly Achievement Award: Lori Leggitt and Kristi Rogers
- Merck and Company Awards For Excellence in the Basic Sciences: Lori Leggitt, medicinal chemistry; Thuy D. Dinh, pharmaceutics; Mandy Ranzino, pharmacology
- GlaxoSmithKline Patient Care Award: Kelly Descant
- APhA 鈥揂SP Mortar and Pestle Professionalism Award: Jennifer Gunter
- Roche Pharmacy Communications Award: Amanda Curet
- TEVA Pharmaceuticals USA Student Award: Colin Duplechien
- Albert P. Lauve Memorial Award: Kelsey Green
- Mylan Pharmaceuticals Excellence in Pharmacy Award: Alyssa Arnold
- American Pharmacists Association Award Senior Recognition Certificate: Davey Legendre
- The Facts and Comparisons Award of Excellence in Clinical Communication: Nicole Oakley
- The Perrigo Excellence in Non-Prescription Medication Studies Award: Melanie Perry
