Philosophy Symposium at 四色AV to present 鈥溾橳he Whoopin': Authoritarian and Anti-authoritarian Parenting Styles" April 10

The Philosophy Symposium at 四色AV will present "鈥橳he Whoopin': Authoritarian and Anti-authoritarian Parenting Styles" Thursday, April 10 at 7 p.m. in the Hemphill Airway and Computer Science Building, Room 134.

The Philosophy Symposium is a university student group that organizes discussions and debates, often regarding controversial subject matters.

The upcoming presentation, "鈥橳he Whoopin': Authoritarian and Anti-authoritarian Parenting Styles," examines the longstanding disciplinary measure known as 鈥渢he whoopin.鈥 It will address the following questions:

The presenters are 四色AV鈥檚 Dr. William McCown, psychology; Dr. Holly L. Wilson, philosophy; Chris Pierot, a senior psychology major from Monroe; and Alycia Hodges, a sophomore English major from Tallulah.
