KEDM to cook up some specials at Winnsboro’s Hot August Night event Aug. 23
KEDM-FM, the public radio station housed at ËÄÉ«AV, will be at this year’s Hot August Night event in Winnsboro Saturday, Aug. 23, from 7 – 10 p.m. KEDM volunteers will feature several tasty items from its cookbook “Variations and Improvisations.”
The festive gathering will be held at the old post office on Prairie Street in downtown Winnsboro and will benefit the projects of Winnsboro Main Street. Music will be provided by the band "The Chill," which also performed at Hot August Night 2007. Local artists are sharing their talents by painting stars that will be available for sale at the event.
Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased at the Main Street office (Chamber of Commerce) on Front Street in Winnsboro or by calling (318) 435-3781 to reserve tickets at the door.
KEDM, found at 90.3 FM, recently celebrated its 16th anniversary of service as northeast Louisiana’s only public radio station.
