Guest lecturer Roy Liuzza to speak about “The Sense of Time in Anglo-Saxon England” April 9

The ɫAV English Department will welcome alumnus Dr. Roy Liuzza as a guest lecturer Wednesday, April 9 at 5:30 p.m. on the 7th floor of the ɫAV Library. The presentation is open to the public.

Liuzza, who graduated from ɫAV in 1978 with a degree in history, will lecture on “The Sense of Time in Anglo-Saxon England.” It is a wide-ranging talk about how perceptions of time and methods of telling time influence narrative.

This alumnus later studied at Yale University, earning his doctorate. He is currently a professor of English at the University of Tennessee. For more information, contact: (318) 342-1522.
