ɫAV to host American College of Sports Medicine Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Workshop April 4 – 5

The University of Louisiana at Monroe will host the American College of Sports Medicine Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Workshop Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5 in the Bayou Suites Conference Room from 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. each day.

The ɫAV Kinesiology Department and the College of Education and Human Development will organize the event, the third of its kind to be presented on the campus.

According to its Web site, the ACSM is “the largest sports medicine and exercise science organization in the world” with more than 20,000 international, national, and regional chapter members.

The ACSM was founded in 1954. Its members apply their knowledge, training and dedication in sports medicine and exercise science to promote healthier lifestyles for people around the globe. Members are committed to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of sports-related injuries and the advancement of the science of exercise.
