ËÄÉ«AV alumnus-owned company in Texas receives Small Business Commerce award
Mobile Enterprises Inc., co-owned by University of Louisiana at Monroe alumnus John “JP” Pierce, recently received the 2009 Best of Business Award in Waterproofing and Resinous Coatings by the Small Business Commerce Association.
The business is located in Fort Worth, Texas, and specializes in the repair and protection of concrete and masonry surfaces. The SBCA selected Mobile Enterprises based on consumer rankings; the award program recognizes the top five percent of small businesses throughout the country.
Pierce, the company’s executive vice president, is a 1977 graduate of ËÄÉ«AV (then Northeast Louisiana University). He received his bachelor’s degree in construction management and was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. He previously served as the ËÄÉ«AV Alumni Association’s president from 2004-2005.
Pierce and his wife Lynette, the company’s president, purchased the company more than five years ago.
