Association offers three-part series designed to improve finances; begins Feb. 17
The Financial Management Association will offer a three-part speaker series to show University of Louisiana at Monroe students, faculty, and staff how to improve their financial situation during tough economic times.
The first talk will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 17, at the Bayou Village Conference Center, connected to the Bayou Village Dormitory. The last two sessions will be held at the same time and location on March 26 and April 23.
The speaker series will feature Alan Stephenson, investment advisor and registered principal with Stephenson and Greene Investment Firm. Stephenson will discuss four types of financial tools – investments, tax shelters, insurance and estate planning – and educate the audience on how to use these tools to build their financial future.
He will also go into detail on budgeting, property and casualty insurance, life insurance, and long- term care. In addition to these topics he will discuss a variety of investment vehicles.
