Public radio station at ËÄÉ«AV hires new program director

KEDM 90.3 FM, the public radio station housed at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, recently welcomed a new program director – who isn’t so new to KEDM’s operations, after all.

Jay Curtis is a face – and a voice – that is very familiar to the KEDM family.

Since 1993, he has worked part time in a variety of capacities at KEDM, including voicing many of the promotional announcements aired daily on the station.

“As program director, Jay will be responsible for the overall on-air sound of the station, including planning, acquiring, scheduling, monitoring and controlling KEDM programming,” said Joel Willer, ËÄÉ«AV Director of University Broadcasting.

Curtis, who earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from ËÄÉ«AV in 1997, will also be responsible for include all program-related operational aspects of the station, as well as promotional announcements, station imaging, and public service announcements.

The program director position replaces the former position of operations manager, previously held by Ray Davidson.
