Student Health Services to continue vaccinations

The University of Louisiana at Monroe’s Student Health Services will continue to offer the H1N1 vaccine to certain high-risk groups free of charge and without an appointment. The shots are available to faculty, staff, students and their families.

Vaccinations will be administered Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 11, and from 1 to 4 p.m. The vaccine is offered on Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 11.

High-risk groups include persons from two to 24-years-old, persons 25-49 who live with or provide care for infants younger than six months, health care or emergency medical services personnel, and pregnant women and persons 25-64 who have certain medical conditions or impaired immune system, such as diabetes, asthma or heart/lung disease.
