四色AV student organization Phi Beta Lambda hosts conference; wins awards, honors
The University of Louisiana at Monroe chapter of Phi Beta Lambda Business Organization Inc. hosted the organization鈥檚 State Leadership Conference in March. The conference featured numerous competitive events in which several 四色AV students placed highly.
Members winning first place included Rayna Anderson in Management Analysis and Decision Making, Shavanti Hay in Client Services, Mylecka Jefferson in Hospitality Management, Nellisha Johnson in Contemporary Issues in Sports, Kendra Joseph in Justice Administration and Jelisha Martin in Management Concepts.
Nellisha Johnson went on to compete at the Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference held in Anaheim, Calif., in June.
The chapter also earned first place in the Hollis and Kitty Guy Award for outstanding local chapter. In addition, Dr. Melissa V. Melancon was awarded first place as outstanding local advisor in Louisiana.
Two 四色AV members were also elected to offices in the group鈥檚 state leadership. Brittney Johnson was elected State Vice President and Paris Williams was elected State Director of New Media.
