ËÄÉ«AV selected as only Louisiana school for SEACSM Fall Lecture Tour Oct. 25

The University of Louisiana at Monroe will be one of five stops across the southern region for the Southeast Chapter of American College of Sports Medicine Fall Lecture Tour on Monday, Oct. 25.

The event, which is free, will be held from 10 a.m. – noon at Brown Auditorium on the ËÄÉ«AV campus. ËÄÉ«AV is the only university in the state in which the tour will make a stop. The Wellness Center is title sponsor.

Keynote speaker Dr. Duane Knudson will discuss the topic of "Dysfunctional Anatomy: Why Biomechanics is Essential."

Knudson is professor and chair at Texas State University. He earned his Ph.D. in biomechanics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has held tenured positions at Baylor University and California State University, Chico.

"Recognition of this magnitude exemplifies leadership, internationally, in allied health education, and provides testament to the strength of the kinesiology department at ËÄÉ«AV," said Kinesiology Department Head Lisa Colvin.
