Transnational Literature is a refereed international journal published twice a year by the Flinders Institute for Research in the Humanities, based at Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia.
The journal focuses on new literatures in English, but has expanded its portfolio to consider all literatures that deal with cross-cultural contact and interaction.

Her poems have appeared in The Kenyon Review, Exquisite Corpse, Cream City Review, Hayden's Ferry Review, New Orleans Review, Review Americana, Triplopia, Logos, Minnesota Review, Diner, Urban Spaghetti, Fine Madness, Greensboro Review and others.
Grinnell's first full-length book of poetry, "Conditions Horizontal," was published by Missing Consonant Press in fall 2001.
Grinnell received the 2000 Southern Women Writers Emerging Poets Award.
In 2003, Grinnell was a finalist in the Ann Stanford Poetry Prize Competition, and in 2005, she received the Louisiana Division of the Arts Fellowship in poetry.
She was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2006.
