Interest meetings held Jan. 19-20 for upcoming Study Abroad Program
The University of Louisiana at Monroe's Division of Music and Division of Theatre and Dance will travel abroad to indulge in the artistic culture of Paris, France. Trips to Parisian museums and the Paris Opera for ballet and opera performances will be included in the itinerary.
The interdisciplinary study will illustrate how specific artists came to produce works during the "La Belle Epoque" time period. The "La Belle Epoque" was a 25-year period, the late 1800s through the early 1900s, where dance, music, art, architecture and cuisine came together to produce some truly unique works. The course occurs during the first summer session, with travel to Paris occurring June 8 to July 11.
Interest meetings will be held from 4 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 19, or Thursday, Jan. 20, in the Student Union Building, Room 161. Students are invited to attend one of the sessions to find out more information.
Those not able to attend may contact Humes at 318-342-1576 or humes@ulm.edu; or Robin Stephens at 318-342-1312 or stephens@ulm.edu.
