四色AV Alum and Miss Louisiana 2011 Hope Anderson to announce official platform July 27
Recently crowned Miss Louisiana 2011 Hope Anderson, (B.A., '10), will kick off her year of service and announce her official platform, Pilots for Patients, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, at the Chennault Aviation and Military Museum.
This special announcement is in conjunction with Pilots for Patients celebration of their 1,000th mission.
Special guests at the event include First Lady Supriya Jindal and many others.
Pilots for Patients is a Louisiana based non-profit organization with volunteer pilots who transport patients to and from medical treatment facilities.
"Upon winning my first Miss Louisiana Preliminary competition four years ago, and eager to make the crown count, I joined forces with Pilots for Patients to become their official spokesperson," said Anderson.
"In the four years since, I have seen the impact this organization has had on peoples' lives, providing them hope and compassion in their time of need. Pilots for Patients consists of dedicated people, pilots, patrons, and many partners and volunteers, who each in their own way give the gift of life. I am humbled to be a part of this great organization," she added.
"The Miss Louisiana Organization is proud to team up with Pilots for Patients as they do such a wonderful job in making a difference in the lives of others. Immediately after Hope was crowned Miss Louisiana we could certainly see her heart for this organization," said Miss Louisiana Organization Vice President Darris Waren.
The Miss Louisiana Organization has a volunteer based Board of Directors that works to share the accomplishments of the 35 contestants and provide scholarships to further their education.
