Air Force Band of the West brings Jazzy performance to ËÄÉ«AV on March 24
The University of Louisiana at Monroe's Division of Music will sponsor the United States Air Force Band of the West, "Dimensions in Blue," on March 24, at the ËÄÉ«AV Sound of Today Band building (#43 on the .)
The ensemble, based out of Lackland AFB in San Antonio, will perform at 11 a.m. and offer a music clinic at 2 p.m. Both are free and open to the public.
"Dimensions in Blue" generates a unique excitement through performances of America's only original art form – Jazz.
The band incorporates a contemporary sound to connect with today's generation while entertaining and inspiring audiences of all ages with some of the biggest names in Jazz.
Featuring 18 musicians from across the country and touring over 30,000 miles throughout Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and Louisiana, United States Air Force core values are presented in the commitment to musical excellence including working with high schools and colleges to promote music education to fostering national pride and patriotism through community relations concerts.
