ËÄÉ«AV alum named HCA's Delta Division Chief Medical Officer
Hospital Corporation of America's Delta Division has appointed a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe as its new chief medical officer.
In his new role, Dr. Charles D. Ardoin Jr. (B.S. '85) will be responsible for greater physician engagement and alignment in the areas of physician leadership, clinical variation reduction and accountable care readiness across the division.
He will work closely with quality management leaders to ensure Delta Division facilities exceed the highest quality ratings throughout the communities served.
The Division operates several hospitals across Louisiana and Mississippi, including Tulane Medical Center and Tulane-Lakeside Hospital, as well as Garden Park Medical Center in Gulfport, Miss.
Ardoin previously served as the Physician in Chief for Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in Houston, where he also served as President of Memorial Hermann Physician Network – IPA, Memorial Hermann Medical Group, and Memorial Hermann Physicians of Texas.
Ardoin also was CEO of Memorial Hermann Northwest, a 230-bed hospital.
Ardoin graduated with a Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, from ËÄÉ«AV.
He received his MBA from Rice University in Houston and his Medical Doctor from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston.
He participated in the Memorial Hermann Family Medicine Residency Program, also located in Houston, earning his Family Physician certification.
Ardoin is ABFM Board Certified.
