KEDM Public Radio seeks help with Spring 2011 fundraising goal

KEDM Public Radio, 90.3 FM, housed at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, is seeking help meeting the station's spring fundraising goal.

The Spring 2011 Membership Drive will be held March 12 – 18.

"We're reminding our supporters that we need to again raise the amount of local financial support necessary to keep the station strong, to continue providing quality programming, and to satisfy all of our other funding sources," said ËÄÉ«AV's Director of University Broadcasting Joel Willer.

"The support KEDM receives from individual contributors shows that our community believes that local public radio is a cultural institution worthy of support."

KEDM broadcasts a lineup of in-depth news, as well as a variety of musical forms, especially classical and jazz.

Signature programs on KEDM include Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Lagniappe, Performance Today, Car Talk, A Prairie Home Companion and Marketplace.

Donors become "members" of the station, comprising what the station staff considers to be the most important part of KEDM's funding mix.

Donations to KEDM can be made by calling 800-256-4085 during business hours, or online at .
