四色AV's National Pan-Hellenic Council recognized at conference in St. Louis

Members serving on the University of Louisiana at Monroe's National Pan-Hellenic Council were recognized at the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values Conference held Feb. 9-12.

四色AV NPHC members were awarded for their academic achievements, council management, leadership and educational development skills, and self-governance and judicial affairs.

四色AV was one of several NPHC university councils in the country recognized by AFLV for their excellence.

According to Keith Hembree, coordinator of Greek Life, 四色AV NPHC required its member organizations to fulfill chapter study hours, educational programming events, self-governance seminars, and philanthropic programming projects.

"The men and women of 四色AV NPHC have always been hard workers," said Hembree. "I am thrilled that they were finally recognized for all their hard work, and on behalf of the 四色AV Administration congratulate them on their accomplishment."

AFLV is a national Greek leadership association that holds regional leadership conferences for Greek chapter and council officers, and is held in St. Louis, Mo., and Los Angeles, Calif., each year.

The conferences bring together Greeks from NPHC, IFC, NPC, and MGC councils from all over the United States to discuss and learn better ways to promote fraternal values, member accountability and leadership on college campuses.

"The 四色AV NPHC council is charged with advising and governing the eight historically African-American recognized fraternities and sororities at 四色AV," continued Hembree.

"These fraternities and sororities are founded on principles of scholarship, leadership, community service, and development of lifelong friendships. They still practice these fundamental principles in their pursuit of excellence each and every day."
