Warhawks share skill development with Lexington Elementary's fifth grade team
Lexington Elementary School's fifth grade basketball team recently benefited from an informal clinic led by the Warhawks women's basketball team on Jan. 16.
Women's basketball coach Mona Martin extended an invitation for the Lexington team to visit at the end of Warhawks' practice.
At its close, the visitors joined the team's circle at center court, and this was followed by an informal clinic led by the players.
"We love having young people come by and are always willing to visit with them and help with some skill development," Martin said.
Community service is not new to the team, Martin said, adding that plans for future service is ongoing.
