Warhawk Dash to raise money for Wounded Warrior Project Sept. 15
Sponsored by the University of Louisiana at Monroe SGA and the City of Monroe, the annual Warhawk Dash seeks to continue its efforts in fund raising and promoting healthy and active lifestyles.
The dash will be held Saturday, Sept. 15 at 8 a.m., with registration starting at 7 a.m. at the old Selman Field Golf Course on Kansas Lane in Monroe.
This year’s dash participants will raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project.
In Nov. 2011, the Warhawk Dash raised over $5,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
There will be several new barriers, including mud pits, and a few surprises thanks to Cross Fit 318, High Octane Boot camp, Kepper Trucking and Dirt Contracting, and the Louisiana National Guard's 528th Engineering battalion.
Early registration is currently underway and is $25 until Sept. 13. Race day registration is $35. Event shirts are guaranteed to those who register before Sept. 1.
