College of Pharmacy to host 39th Annual MALTO Meeting May 20-22

The University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Pharmacy will host the 39th Annual MALTO Medicinal Chemistry-Pharmacognosy Meeting in Monroe, May 20-22.

This conference is a research forum, the focus of which is allowing graduate, undergraduate and professional students and postdoctoral associates opportunities to present their results and share discussion in a collegial and education-focused atmosphere.

It also provides a valuable and enjoyable networking opportunity among individuals with medicinal chemistry, pharmacognosy, and related research interests in the broader Gulf South/Mid-South regions.

There will be 37 presentations from eight regional institutions.

The keynote address at this year's conference will be delivered on the afternoon of Monday, May 21 by Dr. James D. McChesney, Founder and Principal of Ironstone Separations, Inc., in Oxford, MS, and ChromaDex's Chief Scientific Officer of Natural Products.

The MALTO organization was founded in 1973, with current member and affiliate institutions in the states of Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas, Oklahoma, and Illinois.
