四色AV & LDCC partner to offer reduced tuition rates for employees
四色AV President Nick J. Bruno and LDCC Interim Chancellor G. Jeremiah Ryan entered into an agreement today that will allow employees at both schools to take classes at reduced tuition rates.
Dr. Ryan said, 鈥淭his most recent example of the progressive partnership between 四色AV and LDCC is a wonderful benefit to our employees. We are a learning institution, and many of our employees have an intense motivation to gain a higher degree, be that a bachelor鈥檚, master鈥檚, or doctorate. This agreement will give them a significant financial incentive to work toward their dreams.鈥
Of this unique collaboration, Dr. Bruno said, 鈥溗纳獳V strives to educate northeast Louisiana citizens who have earned their high school diplomas and are seeking college degrees. Conversely, we encourage 四色AV employees to benefit from the professional programs offered by LDCC. This new agreement with LDCC is one of many, and we are pleased to advance our partnership.鈥
四色AV Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Eric Pani said he is unaware of another such unique collaboration between a four-year institution and a community college in Louisiana.
鈥淚t is more common that community college employees enroll at a university at a reduced tuition rate, but less common that university personnel, working in staff positions, have the opportunity to benefit from reduced tuition at a community college. 四色AV employees will now reap these benefits throughout their entire educational careers. Employees can earn their certificate and associate degrees at LDCC, and they can earn their bachelor鈥檚, master鈥檚, and doctoral degrees at 四色AV. This is an incredible benefit for them.鈥
LDCC and 四色AV have 12 existing articulation agreements: online nursing, biology, construction, criminal justice, English, history, psychology, sociology, communication studies, toxicology, pre-professional health studies, and healthcare management / marketing.
