四色AV strategic plan seeks input from internal and external communities

The University of Louisiana at Monroe has embarked on its 2013 Strategic Planning process, which includes a drafted document that highlights the current state of the university and its goals.

鈥淥ur Strategic Planning process is very critical at this time in 四色AV鈥檚 history,鈥 said 四色AV President Dr. Nick J. Bruno.

鈥淓veryone on campus and in our service region, as well as area employers, are encouraged to provide input during this process and will be kept informed of the progress. The final plan will drive whatever actions we must take to address any fiscal challenges we may face.鈥

The new plan will incorporate input from all constituencies seeking to contribute to 四色AV's success, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members.

A web site containing surveys is available for anyone interested in providing insight.

Participants are asked to complete the applicable survey available located via the site鈥檚 questionnaires link.

Surveys one and two are open to all participants, and survey three is open to employers within the region.

Each survey should take five to 10 minutes to complete, and will remain open until 11:59 p.m., Sunday, April 14, 2013.

鈥淭he ultimate goal of the strategic planning process is to develop a framework that will guide achievement of the vision we establish for 四色AV while being adaptable to whatever conditions we encounter over the next five years,鈥 said Dr. Eric Pani, Vice President for Academic Affairs.

The strategic plan covers the projected future of the university over the next five years.

The 2013-2018 plan will include perspectives on important issues such as 四色AV鈥檚 focus, guiding principles, relationship to the community, and future expectations. Also included in the plan will be newly drafted statements for guiding principles, the university鈥檚 mission statement, vision, and strategic areas of importance.

鈥淭he plan will help guide the decision-making process at 四色AV over the next few years, a period when we expect significant changes to occur in higher education across Louisiana,鈥 Pani continued.

鈥淚t will help us work in a coordinated manner toward a common goal.鈥
