四色AV鈥檚 Matthews publishes several book reviews

Melinda F. Matthews, 四色AV Interlibrary Loan/Reference Librarian, has written several book reviews to be published in multiple collections.

Her first review focuses on the book 鈥淗ope and Help for Living with Illness鈥 by Karen Zielinski and has been published in 鈥淐atholic Library World鈥 vol. 83 no. 3, March 2013, page 209.

Matthews has also reviewed 鈥淟ouisiana Place Names: Popular, Unusual, and Forgotten Stories of Towns, Cities, Plantations, Bayous, and Even Some Cemeteries鈥 by Clare D鈥橝rtois Leeper. The review has been published in 鈥淟ouisiana Libraries鈥 vol. 75 no. 4, Spring 2013, page 25.

Her review of 鈥淚nterior Design for Libraries Drawing on Function & Appeal鈥 by Carol R Brown appears in 鈥淐odex: the Journal of the Louisiana Chapter of the ACRL鈥 vol. 2 no. 3, 2013, pages 158-163.

Finally, her write-up of 鈥淓at Drink Delta: A Hungry Traveler鈥檚 Journey through the South of the South鈥 by Susan Puckett will be published in 鈥淪outheastern Librarian鈥 vol. 61, no. 1, Spring 2013, pages 49-50.

In 1988, Matthews earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from McNeese State University in Lake Charles.

She received a Master of Library and Information Science from Louisiana State University in 1990.

Matthews has worked at the University Library since 1990, when she started as the Humanities Reference Librarian.

She has held the Interlibrary Loan/Reference Librarian position since 1992.
