KEDM public radio at ɫAV hosts “Policy and a Pint” tonight

At 5 p.m., on Tuesday, May 20, KEDM Public Radio, 90.3 FM, at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, hosts the next installment of “Policy and a Pint” at River & Rail Cantina in Monroe.

The public is encouraged to participate with questions and comments on the proposal of a new arena for the city of Monroe.

KEDM News Director Bob Lenox moderates the discussion. A panel of experts includes Mayor of Monroe Jamie Mayo, President of Monroe-West Monroe Convention & Visitors Bureau Alana Cooper, and realtor John Rea.

The panelists will provide insight on the arena study and look forward to the economic impact of construction in several areas of the city.

“Many people are excited about the idea of a new arena.At this early stage, the discussion will help community members with a better understanding of the proposal,” says Lenox.

The “Policy and a Pint” series is designed to provide access to experts on community issues in a casual setting.

The forum is free and open to the public.
