Finlay received two degrees from ËÄÉ«AV—a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1989 and a Master of Music in 1994.

CCO is the second oldest annual professional summer opera festival and is the fifth-oldest opera company in the country.

As Director of Development, Finlay reports directly to the General and Artistic Director and is responsible for fundraising efforts of the company.

Prior to his move to CCO, Finlay was Director of Development at the College of Music at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

According to their website, the Central City Opera House is the oldest surviving opera house in Colorado. The Central City Opera House was built in 1878 by Welsh and Cornish miners. This National Historic Landmark is known as a centerpiece of the historic gold mining town of Central City, Colo.

The company continues to make history with three productions each year including one opera favorite, one lesser-known piece, and one American work.
