Their work, a multimedia piece titled 鈥淟ove and Violence in America 2014,鈥 was the second multimedia performance partnership between the two. Mullone and Mobley created 鈥淏abel,鈥 earlier this year.
鈥淒r. Mobley and I collaborated back in the spring with the premier of 鈥楤abel,鈥 another multimedia work involving the dance and music students with video and original compositions,鈥 Mullone said.
For a piece such as 鈥淟ove and Violence in America 2014,鈥 Mullone said the work benefitted from a national audience. 鈥淲e felt the need to present a work on the professional stage,鈥 she said.
The two chose a popular Fort Worth museum for their performance. 鈥淚 suggested the Modern Art Museum not only for its unique dancing space, but also as a great opportunity to perform in a nationally recognized museum,鈥 Mullone said.
Mullone and Mobley will bring the renowned performance to Monroe for 四色AV鈥檚 annual Fall Dance Fusion, on Friday, Nov. 21, in Brown Auditorium. The concert is held annually and marks one of VAPA鈥檚 signature events.

Mullone and Dr. Mobley have worked together on other projects, and their artistry and creativity is truly astonishing. We look forward to many more performances from this talented duo.鈥
Mobley holds a D.M.A. from the University of Illinois, an M.M. from the University of South Florida, and a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
Mullone received a bachelor鈥檚 degree from the University of Oklahoma and a graduate
degree from Texas Christian University.
