According to center Director Dr. David Irwin, he and Dr. Linda Bryan, Services Coordinator for the AC-四色AV will study the "unique stressors and problems of families who live in a rural and impoverished environment while raising a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder." The study will take place in 2019.

"This research project will directly support the children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families living in rural and impoverished environments," Irwin said. "The results of this research will be shared with other regions in the U.S. including Native American reservations, Appalachia, and the Mississippi Delta Region which also have children and families with ASD. We want to address the unique and specific issues of this population by developing and publishing a Resource Toolkit."

Foundation President Michael Tipton stated, "Your commitment provides an example of what is right about our state and its residents. We applaud you for your dedication to our state, and we look forward to working with you throughout your grant."
