Now: Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 7 p.m. for Ouachita Parish, slight risk of wind damage, tornadoes

Ouachita and surrounding parishes are under a听Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 7 p.m.Wednesday, issued by the National Weather Service Shreveport. A watch means conditions are favorable for severe weather.

A cold front passing through the state brings a听slight risk for damaging winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes from late Wednesday afternoon into the early hours of Thursday morning. 听

Thursday's high is forecast at 38掳 with wind chills in the teens in the morning and afternoon. The low Thursday night into Friday will be 23掳 with wind chills again in the teens.听

Friday's high will be 40掳; the wind chills will be in the low 20掳s.听
