1. Jobs delivered by email should have a completed electronic copy of the copy request form included as a separate attachment.
2. Jobs submitted by noon will be ready for pick up 7:30 am the next day. Jobs resulting in more than 33 output sheets may require more time. Please plan accordingly.
3. Requests will be completed in the order in which they are received.

Under certain conditions, some copyrighted material may legally be reproduced for classroom use.
Under the 鈥淔air Use鈥 guidelines, you may copy a portion of a copyrighted work without copyright infringement only if all the guidelines below are met. If the guidelines are not met, copy right permission should be sought.
There are some restrictions regarding producing multiple copies for classroom use.
Permission may not be required if the work is used only once and 鈥渢he inspiration and decision to use the work and the moment of its use for maximum effectiveness are so close in time that it would be unreasonable to expect a timely reply to a request for permission."
Single Copying
Instructors may make single copies of a chapter of a book; an article from a periodical or newspaper; a short story, essay, or a poem; a chart, graph, diagram, drawing, cartoon, or picture from a book, periodical, or newspaper to teach a class.

Multiple Copying
Multiple copies (one copy per pupil in a course) can be made meeting the criteria of brevity, spontaneity, and cumulative effect and if each copy contains a notice of copyright.
1. Brevity.听A complete poem printed on no more than two pages or an excerpt from a longer poem not to exceed 250 words copied in either case. A complete article, story, or essay of less than 2,500 words, or from other longer pieces of prose, an excerpt of less than 1,000 words or 10% of the work, whichever is less, but in either event a minimum of 500 words to be copied. Multiple copies can be made of excerpts of fewer than 500 words. One chart, graph, diagram, drawing, cartoon, or picture per book or periodical issue.
2. Spontaneity.听Copying is done by the instructor when there is not a reasonable length of time to request and receive permission to copy.
3. Cumulative Effect.听The copying is only for one course and only nine instances of multiple copying per course during one class term is allowed. Not more than one short poem, article, story, essay, or two excerpts may be copied from the same author, nor more than three from the same collective work or periodical volume during one class term.

Prohibitions to Single or Multiple Copying
You cannot copy:
--to substitute for purchase or replacement
--workbooks, exercises, standardized tests, or answer sheets
--if it is directed by a higher authority
--if there is a charge to students beyond the photocopy cost
--to create, replace, or substitute for anthologies, compilations, or collective works.
