Technology Support
It is the goal of 四色AV Technology Support to provide the university with timely, on-site service at rates much lower than an off-campus alternative.听听As a division within Information Technology, we work closely with other IT staff to offer a wide variety of services including hardware/software service, support and upgrades.听听We support many platforms of desktops, servers and printers. We specialize in Dell & Apple desktops, laptops and tablets as well as HP Printer support. We also offer support for most Audio/Visual equipment.
Dell desktops/laptops are priced with a 5-year warranty, unless otherwise specified. Apple desktop/laptops are priced with 4yrs of AppleCare+. When systems go out of warranty and service is required, replacement parts and labor charges are assessed to the department requiring service. All PCs and Macs are supported by 四色AV IT for 7yrs.
Absolute, 四色AV鈥檚 choice for device tracking software, must be installed on all 四色AV owned laptops and any desktops that are used off campus.
Requesting Service
If you are in need of service for your computer, printer, etc., please contact the IT Help Desk at 3333, or you may place the call directly by visiting the help desk site at听.听听The Help Desk personnel will be happy to take your call and forward it to the appropriate department within Information Technology.
Hardware Purchases
If you need to acquire new computers for your office, grant project, or other group, please contact Gabe Roncal, roncal@ulm.edu, to obtain a quote.
Please be aware that Microsoft is ending support for the Windows 10 operating system on October 14, 2025. After this date, Windows 10 users will no longer receive security updates from Microsoft. As of April 2024, all new Dell desktops/laptops are being imaged with Windows 11. All older PCs that support Windows 11 are being re-imaged as they come in for service. Please contact Gabe Roncal if you need help with your PC inventory.
Troubleshooting & Repair
All peripheral equipment not specifically mentioned on a maintenance contract is serviced
on a time and materials basis. This category of equipment includes, but is not limited
to printers, scanners and external hard drives.听Use the Helpdesk Call Center (ext.
3333) to schedule a repair visit for your peripheral equipment.
