Provisional Entry Programs (PEP/C-PEP)

The Provisional Entry Programs are designed for a select population of academically superior students coming out of high school and college students who have completed at least the first semester of their freshman year who have an interest in pursuing pharmacy as a career.听 The PEP and C-PEP programs will provide these students the opportunity to develop both personal and professional relationships with the College of Pharmacy faculty and students upon attending 四色AV.听 The PEP program is unique to 四色AV and brings up to 50 high-achieving students to 四色AV each year for their pre-professional program in pharmacy.

Eligibility Requirements
  • High school senior at an accredited U.S. high school
  • Have a 3.5 cumulative high school grade point average (4.0 scale)
  • Have a minimum 25 composite, (Superscore Accepted) on the ACT
  • Attend 四色AV for pre-pharmacy

Selection Process
  • Applicants will be interviewed once application packet is complete.
  • Students will be ranked using the following formula: GPA (50%) + ACT (50%).
  • Interview results will be considered as admit or do not admit.听
  • Up to 50% of an admissions class (not to exceed 50 students) may be accepted into PEP. Students will be notified by in August prior to start of the fall semester.听听

Maintaining Early Admission Status
  • Complete all pre-pharmacy curriculum requirements within 3 years.
  • Maintain a 3.0 minimum pre-pharmacy GPA per semester until matriculation to the PharmD program (not including summers).
  • Maintain a 3.0 minimum math/science GPA to be evaluated at the time of application to the College of Pharmacy.
  • Receive no D's or F's in required courses.
  • Maintain membership in the 四色AV pre-pharmacy student organization.
  • Probation Period:听听Students who do not maintain a 3.0 minimum pre-pharmacy GPA per semester will be allowed to remain in PEP the next full-term semester (fall/spring) to bring the GPA back to the minimum 3.0.
  • Participate as a PEP mentor during P1 year of the professional program.听 Continued participation during the P2 and P3 years is voluntary.

C-PEP

Eligibility Requirements
  • Have a minimum 25 composite ACT score
  • Must have a 3.5 minimum overall GPA after first semester of college

Selection Process
  • Applicants will be interviewed once application packet is complete.
  • Relative applicant ranks are based on GPA and ACT
  • Interview results will be considered as admit or not admit.听
  • Up to 50% of an admissions class may be accepted into C-PEP.

  • Maintain a 3.0 minimum pre-pharmacy GPA per semester until matriculation to the PharmD program (not including summers).
