RAs are responsible for getting to know the people in their communities, supporting them, promoting a safe and comfortable living environment, planning activities to help students grow and connect, directing them to resources, and otherwise enhancing the experience of living on campus.

The RA selection and training processes are usually quite rigorous and intense.听The Assistant Director of Residential Life supervises the Resident Assistants.
